{"id":1472,"date":"2015-05-13T18:10:04","date_gmt":"2015-05-13T17:10:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ginnyang.com\/?p=1472"},"modified":"2015-05-13T18:10:04","modified_gmt":"2015-05-13T17:10:04","slug":"garlic-chicken-pasta-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ginnyang.com\/?p=1472","title":{"rendered":"Garlic Chicken Pasta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is a recipe I recreated from a simple pasta dish we had in Italy. \u00a0Phoebe loved it so much that she demanded I make it when we got back home. \u00a0My version is quick and easy to make but utterly delicious &#8211; as is all good Italian food.<\/p>\n<p>All you need is some chicken, pasta, garlic, butter, extra virgin olive oil and some parsley (or other herb). \u00a0For the calorie conscious you can reduce the amount of butter and replace it with more olive oil but the richness of the butter really makes the sauce for this pasta.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ginnyang.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/2015-04-17-18.52.39.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1467\" src=\"https:\/\/ginnyang.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/2015-04-17-18.52.39-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"GnY_GarlicChicken2\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ginnyang.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/2015-04-17-18.52.39-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ginnyang.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/2015-04-17-18.52.39-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients (serves 2):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>500g Chicken Breast<\/p>\n<p>350g Pasta (Spaghetti or\u00a0Linguine)<\/p>\n<p>4 Cloves Garlic<\/p>\n<p>100g Butter (unsalted)<\/p>\n<p>Handful of Parsley<\/p>\n<p>Extra Virgin Olive Oil<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. \u00a0Dice the chicken breast and thinly slice the garlic.<\/p>\n<p>2. \u00a0Boil a large pan of salted water and heat (medium-high) a saute pan with two tablespoons of the olive oil.<\/p>\n<p>3. \u00a0Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions.<\/p>\n<p>4. \u00a0Add the garlic to the saute pan as soon as the oil is up to temperature. \u00a0Fry for about 1-2 minutes then add in the chicken.<\/p>\n<p>5. \u00a0As soon as the chicken is cooked through, add the butter and allow it to melt in the pan. \u00a0Adjust seasoning as required.<\/p>\n<p>6. \u00a0Once the butter is melted, add in some chopped parsley. \u00a0Drain the pasta, add it to the pan and mix well.<\/p>\n<p>7. \u00a0Taste the pasta, adjust seasoning if required and serve. \u00a0Crack some fresh black pepper and drizzle some olive oil on top (optional).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>None.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a recipe I recreated from a simple pasta dish we had in Italy. \u00a0Phoebe loved it so much that she demanded I make it when we got back home. \u00a0My version is quick and easy to make but utterly delicious &#8211; as is all good Italian food.
